Fan Guidance for Exeter Away

Help make our final regular season game of the season one to remember

26 April 2024

Saturday’s trip to face Exeter City will see more than 1,000 Oxford United fans travel to the South-West as the hopes to extend the season comes down to one final game.

With only one game to go in the regular season, Oxford United currently sit in seventh place, one spot outside the play-off picture, but know a win could see the U’s in next weekend’s semi-finals.

The support you offer the team has pushed the squad towards this target, and it will be vital once again for Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off.

With so much riding on the game, we would like to emphasise and remind supporters about the importance of their behaviour both in and out of the stadium.

Each supporter heading to Exeter does so representing the club and with this, we would like to ask supporters to behave sensibly while getting behind the team.

We remind fans to arrive early to the game due to the high numbers of United fans in the sold-out away section for the 12.30 kick-off.

Oxford United takes a zero-tolerance approach to anti-social behaviour and the use of pyrotechnics, and we would like to remind fans of this stance.

We repeat to fans that the club is proactive with sanctions such as using Acceptable Behaviour Contracts to establish agreed behaviours so that the fans, and the public, can continue to enjoy watching football safely.

With there being the potential of United earning a play-off spot, we also would like to ask the U’s fans in Exeter to not enter the pitch at any stage, including after the full-time whistle.

No alcohol will be sold inside the stadium on Saturday, however, United fans are welcome to the Official Exeter City Fanzone.

You can read the full ground regulations for St James Park here.

Thank you for helping us to make sure everyone inside the stadium has a fantastic matchday experience.

Saturday is set to be an exciting day for all those in attendance and those following the United result wherever you may be in the world.

We look forward to seeing you all in Exeter and we hope we can see you again in May for a play-off semi-final.
