Nigerian forward joins Oxford United Women
Oxford United Women are delighted to announce the signing of Nigerian international Ini Umotong from Portsmouth Ladies.
The 21-year-old forward scored 29 times in 25 games for Portsmouth Ladies in the 2014/15 season, and has netted 25 times so far in the 2015/16 season.
Manager Les Taylor is pleased to have signed someone of Ini’s calibre. He told us:
“Ini is a striker who possesses both power and pace. She is also a proven goal scorer as seen during her time at Portsmouth ladies. We have been very fortunate to recruit such an exciting player like Ini, who has international experience representing Nigeria at the World Cup.
“She has been very impressive during training with Oxford United and I am sure she will be a handful for opposition defences.”
