Join us for pre-season in Portugal
We are getting lots of questions from fans looking to join us on the pre-season tour in Portugal.
This follows on from the hugely successful pre-season tours to Austria in 2015 and Spain in 2016 and will see United train and play on the Algarve between July 10th and 16th, staying near the Vilamoura resort and including two friendly games.
Details on the opposition will be released over the next few weeks - both clubs have specifically asked us not to do so at the moment.
What we can tell you is that the first game will be on the Wednesday and the second on the Saturday, both scheduled for the Ferreirias Stadium, Albufeira and kicking off at 6.30pm local time.
The players will be staying at a training camp away from the main tourist areas but we advise supporters to stay in the Vilamoura/Qarteria area, where there are a wide range of hotels, restaurants and bars close to the stadium. The club will not be able to provide package deals for this trip or transport to the games but the stadium is easy to find and well provided for by public transport.
Don't forget that pre-season starts on Saturday July 8th when the U's take on Oxford City at Court Place Farm.
